SOLUBLE FIBER
Restoration of normal bowel movement and relief from constipation in a natural way
What are soluble fiber?
Fiber are complex carbohydrates found in foods that come from plants.
These specific polysaccharides differ from the rest of sugars, because of their trait not to be degraded and as a result not to be digested.
They pass through the upper gastrointestinal system untouched, and they reach the large intestine and the colon where they act in beneficiary ways.
Normal colon transit time
Soluble fiber relieve from constipation, making faeces easy to get expelled (Bristol Stool Scale – Type 3 & 4).
At the same time, they contribute into the prevention of diarrhoea, as they can absorb water and add volume to faeces.

The ingredients used to produce bactefiber® have been tested in terms of activity and effectiveness. All raw materials are adequately certified for being high-quality and secure.
Sunfiber® is the most studied soluble fiber in the world. It comes from the guar bean, which is cultivated in western India. Partially hydrolysed Guar Gum (PHGG) mainly consists of galactose and mannose, the proportion of which is about 1:2, it has no odour, no taste, it is not toxic, it is water-soluble in hot and cold water, and it can be used in cooking and pastry making.
Gut-brain axis
Did you know that the central nervous system and the intestinal nervous system communicate with each other?
The nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract communicate through a bidirectional network of signals. In cases of imbalance of the intestinal microbiome, which is called dysbiosis, these connections are destabilized.
In clinical action there are incidents, in which intestinal dysbiosis has been corelated with central nervous system disorders (e.g. autism, anxious-depressive behaviour), and gastrointestinal function disorders.
The Irritable Bowel Syndrome is an example of these complicated relations, and the understanding of these changes can offer new, targeted therapies.
Low FODMAPs Diet
The term FODMAPs was developed to describe insufficiently absorbed carbohydrates of short chain, which undergo fast fermentation. As a result, an excess concentration of liquids and gases is caused, leading to bloating, flatulence, bellyache, and other disorders of the gastrointestinal system.
A low FODMAP diet has been proved to relieve patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome from gastrointestinal symptoms
