Psychobiotics are a rapidly growing field of research that examines the connection between the gut and the brain, known as the “gut-brain axis.” These are probiotics that have a positive effect on mental health, supporting mood, reducing anxiety and improving stress resistance. The bacteria Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus helveticus and Lactobacillus paracasei have been studied for their effect on stress management and mental health support.

Affron® saffron extract is derived from Crocus sativus L. It contains Lepticrosalides®, which is a patented mixture of active ingredients, which have been studied in 9 clinical studies. Crocin and safranal act synergistically and are the components responsible for the action of saffron in cases of reduced mood, anxiety and insomnia.

B vitamins have multiple benefits for the body, improving mood and heart health, strengthening the immune system and keeping the brain functioning properly. According to EFSA:
